EFI Mediterranean Network Forum 2022

dimarts, novembre 29, 2022 a dijous, desembre 1, 2022

CREAF will be presenting different posters in the first edition of the EFI Mediterranean Network Forum 2022, that aims at connecting forest researchers, policymakers, and practitioners across the Mediterranean. The 2022 Network Forum will launch the Mediterranean Forest Research Agenda - MFRA 2030, which aims to be a key point of reference for further action over the next decade.

One of the posters to be presented is 'Modelling forest ecosystem services resilience to drought and its drivers in Catalonia', introduced by its first author, researcher Francesco D'Adamo. It is co-authored with researchers Josep M. Espelta, Miquel de Cáceres, José Valentín Roces-Díaz, Raúl García-Valdés, Francisco Lloret, Albert Vilà-Cabrera and Jordi Martínez-Vilalta.

The poster 'An operational framework for implementing resilience in forest systems' will also be presented, and explained by its first author, researcher Francisco Lloret, who's been involved in it together with researchers Luciana Jaime, Pilar Hurtado and Josep M. Espelta.

The work 'Disturbance regime of Catalan forests (1986-2020): Who is commanding forest dynamics?' by researchers Josep M Espelta, E. Jaeger, Miriam Selwyn, Francesco D'Adamo, Luciana Jaime, Jordi Martinez Vilalta and Cornelius Senf is also part of the research CREAF will share in the EFI Mediterranean forum. As well as the poster 'Increasing tree species diversity to enhance forest resilience: a task for animal seed dispersers?' by Miriam Selwyn, Joan Pino and Josep M. Espelta.

Faqrul Islam Chowdhury will present the work "Drought impacts the amount of lying deadwood and (dendro)habitats in Pinus sylvestris forests of Catalonia".
