35 PhD fellowships for early-stage researchers of any nationality to pursue their PhD studies in the best Spanish research centres accredited with the Spanish Seal of Excellence Severo Ochoa distinction.

CREAF has published 10 PhD open positions under the INPhINIT programme:

  1. Green4children. Group Leader: Dr. Corina Basnou.
  2. Reconstructing climate variability using tree-ring records from the tropical Andes. Group Leader: Dr. Laia Andreu.
  3. Changes in stocks, flows and stoichiometry of the main bio-elements (C: N: P: K) in the plant-soil system associated with the increase of aridity on a global scale. Group Leader: Dr. Jordi Sardans.
  4. Investigating forest resilience to global change and associated disturbances. Group Leader: Dr. Josep Maria Espelta.
  5. From global climate variables to high resolution local drought spatiotemporal patterns. Group Leader: Dr. Lluís Pesquer.
  6. Global change and food security: implications for sustainability. Group Leader: Dr. Josep Peñuelas.
  7. Operationalizing the social-ecological system framework to assess sustainable resource management policies in European mountains. Group Leader: Dr. Bernat Claramunt.
  8. Responses to global warming across ecotones and altitudinal gradients in mediterranean populations: assessing the role of microclimatic variability. Group Leader: Dr. Jofre Carnicer.
  9. Mapping westnile risk across Europe: an eco-health approach. Group Leader: Dr. Federic Bartomeus.
  10. Understanding the coordination of water relations and hydraulic traits and tree responses to drought under climate change. Group Leader: Dr.Maurizio Mencuccini.
