Septembre 22- 26, 2014. The conference will be co-organized by the Forest Sciences Center of Catalonia (CTFC) and the National Institute for Agriculture Forest Research Centre (INIA) in close collaboration with CREAF and University of Lleida.

The 5th edition of the International Conference on Mediterranean Pines will be held in the beautiful city of Solsona, in the heart of the Catalan Pre-Pyrenees (northeastern Spain).
The cycle of MEDPINE conferences was born in 1999 (Mt Carmel, Israel) with the aim of bringing together researchers of all disciplines studying Mediterranean pines(*). Since then it has travelled to Chania (Greece), Bari (Italy) and Avignon (France). The 5th edition of the MEDPINE conference will be held in the beautiful city of Solsona, in the heart of the Catalan Pre-Pyrenees (northeastern Spain). The conference will be co-organized by the Forest Sciences Center of Catalonia (CTFC) and the INIA Forest Research Centre in close collaboration with the Centre for Ecological Research and Forestry Applications (CREAF) and the University of Lleida (UdL).
Advancing in the understanding of the vulnerability and adaptive mechanisms of these ecosystems to the different components of global change constitutes the main objective of this edition!
