Doctor en Biologia per la Universidad de Oviedo (2015). He treballat investigant les respostes a sequera en espècies forestals i col·laborat en la creació de SAPFLUXNET, la primera base de dades global de flux de saba. Actualment em dedico a l'anàlisi de dades, creació de llibreries de R i aplicacions de visualització de dades, com a Data Scientist en l'Ecosystem Modelling Facility al CREAF.
