SIG SalutContracts and agreementsProject duration: Jan 2005 to Dec 2006Following collaborations during 2004 with the Catalan Department of Health, in April 2005 initial contacts were established with the Catalan Health Service (CatSalut).Introduction From April to July, the tasks carried out concentrated on staff training and support, and in November 2005 work began on the development of cartographic databases for the creation of the Health Map of Catalonia. This study has included the up-dating of CatSalut databases (data and maps), in particular with respect to the Health Service’s own administrative units responsible for the local and regional health services in the Catalan territory. Work has also begun on the development of basic and thematic cartography which will be printed and published in book form and also in poster-maps summarising all the health services in Catalonia.
