Anna de las Heras Carles
I started my career studying Political Science and International Relations at the University of Warwick. After I graduated from an Msc in Crisis and Security Management by the University of Leiden. Sustainability has always been at the core of my values and I am passionate about the environment and how we can work together to achieve change at societal level.
From a very young age, I started working on reforestation projects and participated in several international conferences explaining the role of youth in the fight against the climate emergency. Being part of UNFCCC COPs encouraged my fascination for the cooperation between actors in global challenges. During my professional years I have focused on the mechanisms around climate change policy and the governance of international sustainable development. Currently I am working on the RESPIN project, reinforcing the link science-policy to increase the effectiveness of research application in the policies at the subnational, national and international level.
