Technician

Cristina Amor Jiménez

Office: CM7

I'm Cristina Amor, a biologist with a master's degree in Bioinformatics, both from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. This April, I am joining the CREAF team as a research technician in Oriol Lapiedra's group, where I will collaborate on the study of the evolutionary effects of the introduction of an invasive species in the insular system of Ibiza, from the perspective of bioinformatics and genomics analysis.

Until now, I have worked as a bioinformatician in the field of biological anthropology at the Department of Animal Biology and Plant Biology (BABVE), providing support in genomics and metagenomics analysis of ancient human remains. Later, I specialized in the field of evolution and population genetics within the Department of Genetics and Microbiology, providing support in the study of adaptation and the detection of selection signals in different organisms.
