I obtained my degree in Ecology from the Pontifical Xavierian University (PUJ) in Bogotá, Colombia. During my academic period, I conducted analyses of tropical forests and agricultural landscapes, sparking a great curiosity in me for socio-ecology and defining my path towards insect ecology and the study of global changes. Additionally, I joined a research group where I focused on the collection and identification of arthropods in rural and urban areas of Colombia.

In 2019, I supported a joint research project between PUJ and the Polytechnic School of Chimborazo (ESPOCH) in the Galápagos Islands, Ecuador as a field technician. The objective was to determine the ecological networks of arthropods associated with an invasive plant on three of the islands. In 2021, I certified in the management and identification of stingless bees in tropical dry forest areas.

In 2022, I came to live in Spain to obtain my M.Sc. in Management and Restoration of the Natural Environment at the University of Barcelona. Currently, I am very interested in scientific research on the relationship between ecosystem functionality and arthropods, as well as their interactions at different scales. I have a lot of interest in taxonomy and studies related to community composition and structure.
