I'm from Barcelona, I grew up in Gràcia. I graduated in environmental sciences at the University of Barcelona (2021) and have a master’s degree in Terrestrial Ecology and Biodiversity Management from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2022), specializing in Terrestrial Ecology. Until now I have worked in the environmental education sector in different types of roles, as a technician in the field of environmental health and as an environmental reporter on the beaches of Barcelona.
I am joining CREAF as a technician for the DENDROHIST project with Dr. Laia Andreu Hayles. I will work in the field and in the laboratory to assess the environmental crisis through dendrochronological and climatic archives from different points of the Iberian Peninsula. My main interest is the study and evaluation of the impacts of climate change on ecosystems to ensure their conservation. I will be able to deepen this interest through dendrochronology. I also like the management, analysis and representation of data with R.
I have done field work on the Caribbean coral reef in a mariculture project for the Caribbean king crab (Mithrax spinosissimus) for the conservation of its ecosystem for five months in an isolated and independent manner. My master's thesis was framed within the study with R of the colonizing mechanisms of bird species in the urban environment.
In my free time I have played basketball and made music all my life. I like to go out and observe nature, either with binoculars and guides, going on excursions through forests, rivers and marshes, or with diving goggles and duck feet on beaches and coves.
