My name is Héctor de Prado Herrero, and I am the father of two children. I hold a degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Girona (UdG), where I focused my thesis on the evolution of tree crowns and the dispersal effect of birds in the coniferous forest of the Santa Caterina valley after the 2004 wildfire.

My professional career has followed two main paths. In the first stage, I worked in the third sector for some years as the national coordinator of campaigns on political advocacy and mobilization for climate justice and energy issues. In the second stage, more aligned with my current role, I specialized as a research communication and management technician in the field of natural sciences.

I have had the opportunity to live in several cities, including Brussels, Ghent, Madrid, Penang (Malaysia), and finally Girona, where I currently reside.

I currently work as a technician in the pre-award unit at CREAF, providing support in the preparation of project proposals for both individual and collaborative projects at the national and international levels.

As for my personal interests, I play in a rock and soul band, enjoy reading noir novels, solving puzzles, and getting involved in citizen initiatives.
