Laura Wynne Stewart

I am a pre-doctoral student on the DRASTiC project within the EcoPhys group, working with Maurizio Mencuccini, Teresa Gimeno, Victor Granda and Rafael Poyatos. The project involves upscaling tissue-level hydraulic traits to the whole plant-level, through a mixture of fieldwork at the Can Balasc research centre, laboratory work and computational modelling.

I have a Masters degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Birmingham, UK, where I specialised in ecotoxicology and environmental health protection, and a second Masters in Plant Biology, Genomics and Biotechnology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona where I specialised in modelling forest adaptation to climate change.
