Lídia Quevedo
I have a degree in Environmental Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2003) and a PhD in Biology (Ecology) from the same university (2014).
I am specialized in post-fire forest management in Mediterranean forests and, especially, I have focused on the forest management of the strawberry tree (Arbutus unedo L.).
On the one hand, I work as an Environmental Technician in a town hall, covering very diverse topics such as the management of the natural environment, selective waste collection, environmental education, etc., and on the other, I am an associate professor of the Unit of Ecology of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, participating in the degrees of Environmental Sciences, Biology and Environmental Biology. I also collaborate with CREAF.
I have co-directed a master's degree in Terrestrial Ecology and Biodiversity Management (2019-2020). I am a member of the Asociación Española de Ecología Terrestre and I volunteer in forest fire prevention issues in an ADF. I was president of the Association of forest owners Entorns de Montserrat for 4 years, participating in the LIFE MONTSERRAT project.
