Maribel Corral Zabala

With over 20 years of experience in research management, I have built a diverse and robust career across various public and private research centres and academic institutions. This extensive background has provided me with a broad and adaptable perspective of the research community needs, fostering an optimal, supportive, and sustainable approach to research initiatives.

I hold a degree in English Philology for the Universitat de Barcelona,  Senior Technician in Business Administration specialization from CFP Poblenou, a master’s degree in Globalization, Development and Cooperation from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and a master’s degree in Social Media Management from INESDI Business Techschool. Additionally, I amb certified in Research Management by the Instituto Europeo Campus Stellae, CRUE Red Otri and UPF Barcelona School of Management. Since 2023, I am responsible for managing national programs in the CREAF Pre-Award Unit and contribute to the coordination of the Unit. I collaborate with various areas of the centre, focusing on optimizing and streamlining the interaction, coordination and cooperation processes between teams.

Professionally, I am interested in improving management processes and facilitating resources and supporting the research community to contribute to the strengthening and social impact of the research it develops. Personally, my interests are various. I am passionate about literature, music, cinema, theatre and art in all its manifestations.
