Oriol Solà Vila

I have a degree in human biology from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and a master's degree in modeling with specialization in complex systems from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Since the summer of 2021 I am a doctoral researcher at CREAF. My area of specialization is ecological modeling.

My thesis focuses on developing models of species distribution dynamics using bird species data from long-term monitoring projects, as well as from citizen science data. The objective is to understand the factors that determine changes in biodiversity patterns at different spatio-temporal scales. The final goal is to be able to project biodiversity dynamics under different future scenarios, in the context of global change.
