Siberia Salgado Jorquera

Graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso in Chile in Agronomy, after finishing my degree I entered a master's degree in Terrestrial Ecology and Biodiversity Management.

My name is Siberia Salgado Jorquera, and I am from Chile. I completed my studies at the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso in Agronomy, and I am currently pursuing a master's degree in terrestrial ecology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. As an agronomist, I am interested in environmental mitigation of forest and agricultural processes, such as pest management, pesticides, and agrochemicals, to minimize the impact of human activities on landscapes. Here at CREAF, I will be part of Josep Barba's team, where we will study methane emission processes in the world's forests. I am an outdoor enthusiast, and on weekends I enjoy exploring Spanish landscapes through hiking or running. I frequently visit cafes to have coffee with friends and engage in idea exchanges that help nurture my endless curiosity.
