Swarup Bhowmik
Environmental biologist graduated in 2021 from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He currently works at CREAF as a technician for the MEDYCI project, which deals with the study of metapopulations of diurnal butterflies in urban parks in Barcelona. Since I was little I have really liked biology, especially fauna. When I was doing high school, my passion for entomology began first with the study of ants and now also with diurnal butterflies.
I think it is very important to study the biodiversity that surrounds us and give importance to that found in cities, since it can be indicative of good environmental quality and to take steps to improve it.
I really like doing macro photography, focused mainly on all kinds of arthropods, from spiders to small springtails.
