COP27 - Mediterranean agri-food systems and climate change: what adaptation solutions for the grape and wine sectors?

CIHEAM Zaragoza organizes a side event in the Mediterranean Pavilion at COP27 (6-18 November 2022) to discuss how the wine sector is facing the challenge of climate change to guarantee production, quality, typicity and viability of the activity in the Mediterranean region. The session includes case-study presentations and a round table with experts who will explore climate change adaptation and current trends in the grape and wine sector.

This event will be held in a hybrid format on 14 November and will feature internationally renowned experts from the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) and CREAF to show the experience of the wine sector and the impacts and capacities of adaptation of the Mediterranean Ecosystems.

The main output of the workshop will be a list of needs of RDi for private and public stakeholders and recommendations for cooperative actions that the CIHEAM could lead.

The session will be live-streamed on the YouTube channel of the Mediterranean Pavilion - COP27.
