Let's celebrate 30 years of MiraMon

MiraMon is a Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing program created to visualise, edit and analyse geographic information. It was first developed in 1988, but it was not until 1994 that it became a Windows application, aimed at scientific, educational and environmental management fields. It is developed in a cooperative way between CREAF and the UAB.

2024 marks the 30th anniversary of the development of MiraMon, a software used by thousands of users all over the world in professional and personal activities. This trust has enabled the generation of important results in areas such as Earth observation and territorial management, as well as providing tools for research and teaching in Science and Technology in Catalan. To celebrate, a commemorative event has been organised, followed by a snack.
