Metadata model for digital preservation in the ICGC
Digital born or digitized information need to be stored and preserved to ensure its survival and its accessibility.
The ICGC aims to promote a protocol for preserving digital data in order to consolidate conservation practices already in force and adopt new ones, and at the same time allow integrating digital preservation from the product chain. As a first step, we will establish a metadata model that allows digital preservation during the process of generating the information that will document the relevant and needed aspects to ensure the preservation of the information.
