COBERTES FORESTALS
State of conservation of forests in the province of Barcelona
Creaf leader
Analysis and appraisal of the current state of affairs and the changes which have taken place in forest covers in the province of Barcelona in the context of the Territorial Information System of the Open Spaces Network (SITXELL).
CREAF has established an agreement with the Barcelona Provincial Council to develop various aspects of the natural heritage of the province of Barcelona, within the Territorial Information System of the Open Spaces Network of the province of Barcelona (SITXELL).
One of the principal tasks carried out has been the ordering and classification of landscapes in the Barcelona province, using a variety of methodologies. Work is currently being done to develop cartographic indicators of the state of conservation of the forests in the province and their recent dynamics, using the forest inventories data.
