REDAPTA
Use of spaces of governance for adaptation in sensitive stretches of Mediterranean rivers.
The REDAPTA project intends to use of spaces of governance for adaptation in sensitive stretches of Mediterranean rivers, focusing its activities on the River Tordera (Catalonia) and the River Serpis (Valencia).
Based on the results of the ISACC TorDelta project (financed by the Fundación Biodiversidad in 2016), REDAPTA will develop a new participatory process, carried out in parallel in the two basins, for the co-design of concrete adaptation measures and the participatory monitoring of fluvial morphology restauration measures. In order to generate information on innovative practices in governance, a network will be created, aiming at sharing experience based knwoledge.
The joint analysis of results will favor the creation of reference models, mutual training and the promotion of adaptation to the impacts of climate change in a more harmonious way, reducing social conflict.
