Esperanza C. Iranzo Sanz

I have a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Navarra (2009) and a master and PhD in Ecology from the Autonomous University of Madrid (2017). I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at CREAF with a Beatriu de Pinós grant.

My main research lines are large vertebrate ecology (habitat selection, niche partitioning, species distribution patterns, behavior) and the conflict between extensive livestock farming and conservation in arid and semi-arid areas. I have recently started a new line of research on the effects of photovoltaic farms on biodiversity.

At the CREAF, I am joining the MountainLab research group, led by Dr. Bernat Claramunt, where I will study the effect of anthropogenic pressures and climate change on mountain ungulate populations.
