Javiera Paz Crisóstomo
Geographer from the University of Chile (2008-2015, with Highest Distinction) with an academic background that includes a Master’s in Environmental Intervention and Management from the University of Barcelona (2018-2020), as well as diplomas in Citizen Participation for Integrated Environmental, Urban, and Territorial Management (Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, 2017) and Socio-Environmental Studies (University of Chile, 2015). I also completed training in Urban Agriculture, focusing on self-sufficiency, food security, and sovereignty.
Currently, I work as a research specialist at CREAF, within the InCASE project by the EEA (European Environment Agency) alongside Joan Masó and Alba Brobia, supporting GEO activities related to in-situ data. In this context, we are gathering structured in-situ data needs and requirements. Previously, I was a research support specialist at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, contributing to the EIFFEL project and other initiatives related to GIS and urban sustainability (2021-2024).
I am passionate about sustainability, environmental management, and citizen participation, with experience in research, communication, and technical support for socio-environmental projects. If you work with in-situ data or know someone who does, don’t hesitate to contact me.
