Lucette Adet
As an ecophysiologist, I specialize in plant nutrition and climate change adaptation. Originally from the Ivory Coast, I earned my PhD in Ecophysiology and Plant Nutrition at the Wageningen University of Research in the Netherlands. My research focuses on how plants and ecosystems respond to environmental stress, with an emphasis on developing resilient agricultural practices to tackle climate challenges.
I have had the opportunity to collaborate with organizations such as Nestlé, the IITA, and the World Agroforestry Centre, working on projects aimed at improving ecosystem resilience.
Currently, I am part of the CoForFunc project, collaborating with Jordi Martinez Vilalta, Rafael Poyatos, Maurizio Mencuccini, and Oliver Binks. We explore how climate change affects the sustainability of Congo Basin Forests. This project marks an exciting new chapter in my career, as I transition from working on crops to focusing on forest trees, expanding my expertise in this field.
Outside of research, I am passionate about dancing, exploring new dance styles, and staying active through sports. I also enjoy traveling, discovering diverse cultures, and experiencing new landscapes, enriching both my personal and professional life.
