Marta Olivé Pueyo
I have a degree in Biology (specializing in plant biology and ecology) by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and a master's degree in plant biology and biotechnology from the same university. I conducted the course of control and protection of the natural environment, and carried out my internship at the Centre de la Propetat Forestal.
My previous experiences have been in plant research laboratories and as a Civic Agent in the Alt Pirineu Natural Park. Thanks to my studies and my experiences I can have a vision of nature from different points of view.
I am currently working as a technician in the research group of methods and applications in remote sensing and geographic information systems (GRUMETS). I participate in the citizen science project CitiObs, creating citizen observatories to measure pollution, and in the AD4GD project, to achieve a space for exchange and integration of data in order to tackle pollution and climate change and to conserve biodiversity.
I am interested in the conservation of nature and biodiversity. I believe that citizen science is one of the best ways to raise awareness and involve people in the conservation of the natural environment.
