Citizen Science is increasingly gaining importance, and that is why, on September 7, various projects related to it were presented in the European Parliament. Among them, Mosquito Alert appeared and its impact on Spain.

The ECSA (European Citizen Science Association) is an organisation focused on giving to the Citizen Science the importance it deserves. With this clear objective, the 7th September ECSA presented different projects to the members of the European Parliament at a conference. John Palmer talked about Mosquito Alert and the effect of such warning systems.

Troughout this presentation, Palmer explained the functioning of the project and the use of the mobile app, highlighting the utility of the citizens' participation. He put successful cases as example, such as the early detection of tiger mosquito in Aragon.
