Anna Ramon Revilla
I hold a degree in Biology (2005, UAB) and a Master’s in Scientific and Environmental Communication (2007, UPF). Since 2011, I have been the Head of Communications at CREAF. My responsibilities include defining CREAF’s communication strategy, producing institutional materials, managing both internal and external communications, supporting the center’s research staff with communication tasks, developing specific communication plans for national and international projects, and maintaining a database of key stakeholders. Additionally, I oversee the content and strategy for the institutional website and various social media channels. My team leads the communication efforts for strategic projects such as Esfera Climática, Alerta Forestal, the Urban Butterfly Monitoring Scheme (MBMS), and the Observatory of Biodiversity and Natural Heritage of Catalonia. We also coordinate the knowledge dissemination platform Prismàtic.
Throughout my career, I have been deeply involved in science communication and corporate communications for research centers. I worked as a science writer in the Communications Department of the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona (2007), at the Cochrane Iberoamerican Centre (2008), and as a science promoter at the GIRO Technological Center (2008-2010).
Currently, I also enthusiastically manage a segment on environment and nature in the Catalunya Nit program hosted by Manel Alías, and I coordinate the Monday segment for Betevé Natura on Betevé Directe. Furthermore, I collaborated for two years with the Avui Sortim program on RNE, both during and after the period it was directed and presented by journalist Samantha Villar. I have also contributed to Els Matins on TV3, coordinating the climate crisis section, and to the Sapiencia radio show on La Xarxa, where I coordinated the environmental section. I am a member of the Catalan Association for Science Communication.
