The project aims to reduce the vulnerability and increase the resilience of the Tordera Delta area (Catalonia) by improving natural resource governance practices and social involvement.
The project aims to reduce the vulnerability and increase the resilience of the Tordera Delta area (Catalonia) by improving natural resource governance practices and social involvement, these being key elements for improving the effectiveness adaptation strategies to climate change.
To this end, a participatory approach will allow the different relevant actors of the delta to analyze and discuss the main challenges of the territory to adapt to the impacts of climate change and, in turn, to draw up strategies for its achievement.
The project focuses on the Tordera Delta, being a highly vulnerable geo-strategic area that shelters fragile natural enclaves suffering different anthropogenic pressures and environmental conflicts, aggravated by climate change.
