I have a degree in Environmental Sciences and a Master in Biodiversity (Universitat de Barcelona, UB). Since February 2016 I am a PhD Student at CREAF and my supervisors are Jordi Bosch and Anselm Rodrigo.
My PhD dissertation is on pollination services in agricultural landscapes. I am investigating the effects of multi-scale environmental factors on pollinator functional diversity and its potential relationship with pollination service provision in apple orchards. This study is part of the European BiodivERsA project ECOFRUIT “Managing ecosystem services for fruit production in different European climates”.
I am also studying the effect of nesting substrates and landscape composition on cavity-nesting bee and wasp communities in orchard environments.
Finally, I am studying the effect of managed populations of the solitary bee Osmia cornuta on the yields of various orchard crops.
