I'm a Biologist by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2000), Master in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing (IEEC 2001) and Master in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (2020). I started my professional career in 2002 as a technician in the Department of Geography at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in a project for defining, implementing, and maintaining a corporative GIS in the Agència Catalana de l'Aigua.
In 2005 I joined the Ecoland lab of CREAF researcher Lluís Brotons, first in CTFC and since 2022 in CREAF, although my relationship with the center goes back to before that, where I collaborated in different projects. I highlight the elaboration of the State of the Nature in Catalonia 2020 report. In the Ecoland Lab I am working as spatial analyst, I participate in various transfer knowledge projects related with biodiversity conservation, by means of spatial analyst with GIS and remote sensing tools. I have also worked in the map production of various birds’ distribution atlas, highlighting the second European Breeding Bird Atlas (EBBA2) (2020).
My current work focuses on biodiversity monitoring and threat assessment in the framework of the Observatori del Patrimoni Natural i la Biodiversitat de Catalunya. And recently, I am also working on my doctoral thesis focusing on the drivers of change affecting biodiversity.
