Marc Gràcia Moya
I have been a researcher at CREAF since January 2002. Previously, I taught silviculture at the University of Lleida.
My main research lines include regenerative agriculture, the dynamics of Mediterranean forests, and, in particular, I analyze the role of site quality and management in forest structure, as well as the role of forest structure in fire behavior and severity after major wildfires. I also work on the analysis of forest inventory data and have coordinated the Inventory of Unique Forests of Catalonia, which includes a reference system for multifunctional forest management and the development of a software tool for the analysis and quantification of the different forest values.
I am also coordinating a series of technical guidelines on best practices for the management of various forest habitats in Catalonia. I have participated in EU-funded projects, national projects, and significant contracts with administrations.
