Olga Roig Herrera
As a research manager, my main activities are focused in pre-award and include the search for public funding opportunities, the advice and support of researchers throughout a proposal preparation (collaborative projects, ERC, MSCA, among others), the positioning of the CREAF interests in the European research area and the promotion of the centre at an international level. My knowledge of the European institutions, acquired during my stage at the ACC10 Delegation to the EU in Brussels, either the constant interaction with the European research area allowed me to establish a network of effective collaborations with first-class institutions and networks.
I hold a degree in Biology (UB, Spain), MSc on Chemistry and Food Engineering (IQS, Spain) and a Certificate in Research Management (ARMA, United Kingdom). Since 2011, I am the International projects manager at CREAF and part of the Management Support Team. I coordinated a national funded project to promote the internationalization of the centre, was member of the former Committee for Equal Opportunities in Gender, as well as of the Independent Committee of the CREAF which performs the functions of trade union representation of the workers. I’m trainer at the Operational Management in Research Centres and Units (GOSCI).
My interests are focused in Research Management innovation, the exchange of best practices across borders and shaping the next generation researchers.
