CARBOSOL

CARBOSOL aims to increase carbon capture in agricultural, forest, and degraded soils in Catalonia. The project focuses on organizing, coordinating, and consolidating knowledge and resources to improve soil health and carbon capture. It addresses various areas such as the impact of agricultural and forest practices, the restoration of degraded soils, and the use of organic materials as amendments. It includes the evaluation of the impact of each type of management on this sequestration, the modeling of carbon dynamics in each scenario, and the creation of a certification system for carbon capture practices. With a multidisciplinary approach, CARBOSOL aspires to be a model for sustainable soil management in Catalonia, contributing to the mitigation of climate change.
