The book, available in English, focuses on the nature reserve shared between southern Spain and northern Morocco. In particular, it values the impacts of climate change on the availability of water from an ecological, socio-economic and political point of view.

The new book examines the impacts related to water that could have climate change in the Mediterranean and comprises four experts in the field —Dania Abdul Malak, Katriona McGlade, Diana Pascual and Eduard Pla—.

The study focuses on the Intercontinental Biosphere Reserve of the Mediterranean (IBRM) of UNESCO, which includes regions in southern Spain and northern Morocco. In fact, this book deepens for the first time in a cross-border case and proposes adaptation measures to the expected impacts of climate change, considering environmental factors, socioeconomic and political.

According to the own publisher Springer, this volume will be of great interest "both for those interested in the integration of natural and social sciences, such as those working under water and climate change topic."

The full title of the book is Adapting to Climate Change: An Assessment of Vulnerability and Risks to Human Security in the Western Mediterranean Basin and can be purchased in this link.
