Ángela Justamante

Biologist and scientific communicator, currently she is the press officer at CREAF. She also has experience in European projects and scientific outreach.

Graduated in Biology (University of Valencia, 2015), with a Master’s in Biomedicine (University of Barcelona, 2016), a course in Science Journalism (UNED, 2017), and a postgraduate degree in Scientific Communication (University of Vic, 2019).

She has experience in the field of consultancy and scientific publishing sector, but her passion for science communication led her to CREAF, where she is currently the press officer. Her role involves identifying relevant topics, writing press releases linked to scientific articles and outreach content, and engaging with the media, among other tasks.

She is also part of the Esfera Climática team, which aims to increase media coverage of climate crisis-related topics and amplify scientific voices. Additionally, she collaborates on the communication strategy of Regeneracat, a project promoting regenerative agriculture in Catalonia.
Previously, she worked in the communication of international projects, coordinating the outreach efforts for the European regenerative agriculture project Life Polyfarming and the Horizon2020 citizen science project Cos4Cloud, coordinated by ICM-CSIC, where CREAF was a partner.
