A website is much like a home. While it may be digital, it opens you up to the world and reflects who you are, just as much as your offices, meeting rooms, people, and the personal touch you bring to everything you do. At CREAF, we treat this space with great care, knowing that our remote work, outdoor research, and a building spread across floors and modules require a digital home that unites everything and tells our story as it deserves to be told.

That’s why our website defines us—and drives us. It's what has pushed us to move forward. Today, after more than a year of hard work, we proudly present CREAF's new website. This fresh concept prioritizes interactivity, offering access to a wealth of research documents, allowing you to meet our staff and learn about their work, stay updated with the latest news, educate yourself with learning resources, join volunteer projects, or collaborate with us in numerous ways.

The new CREAF website has been designed in-house and built with updated technology using the Drupal content management system. This makes it a flexible, adaptable platform that evolves with our needs—without heavy reliance on external providers.

Connected to the Portal de Recerca de Catalunya

We’re now also connected to the leading portal for scientific activity in Catalonia, the Portal de Recerca de Catalunya. Our new website seamlessly manages a publications section that links directly to this key resource. This integration allows CREAF’s new publications to automatically appear in the research section of our site, streamlining workflows and saving us the trouble of posting them in multiple places.

A Focus on Talent

Attracting talent is a constant challenge, and we’re excited to introduce a new job board interface, integrated with the Factorial HR management tool. This new system simplifies communication with candidates and showcases our value proposition in an open and transparent format. The talent section has also expanded into a space where you can explore the benefits of working at CREAF, discover our career development services, and receive advice on how to join us with a highly-rated MSCA or ERC grant.

Everything Just a Click Away

One of the most eagerly awaited updates is the launch of our new portal for projects, initiatives, tools, and manuals. This is a space where anyone can explore CREAF’s active and past projects, access all the tools we’ve developed, and download research outputs like manuals and protocols from the many fields we study.

Additionally, one of the things that sets CREAF apart from other research centers is our capacity to generate impactful outreach content. The new website moves beyond the previous blog format, gathering all articles published since 2011 into a new content portal. This integrated hub features a wide variety of formats, including videos, interviews, photo galleries, and opinion pieces, all in one place and linked to a monthly newsletter currently reaching nearly 7,000 subscribers worldwide.

“We hope that CREAF’s new website inspires others who are in the same position we were a year ago. Finding good examples was no easy task, and while we’re already thinking ahead to the next steps, we’re extremely proud of what we’ve created,”

Nora Soler Pastor, webmaster and designer.
