Ignasi Bartomeus, researcher at the Doñana’s Biological Station (EBD – CSIC), and José Luis Ordóñez, communication technician of CREAF, have created an animation video in order to explain why lots of bee species are disappearing, what implication could have this fact and which correcting measures we can apply. The video also wants to show the enormous diversity of solitaires bees and their role in the plant’s pollination, including part of our feeding crops.

Both the original idea and the animation format have been personal initiative of the researcher Ignasi Bartomeus, according to the difficulty of offering to a wide public the answer for the heading video’s question. James Phillips has been the voice, and Belén Sánchez Humanes (ex-researcher of CREAF) and Mireia Banqué (CREAF's technician) have participated in different phases of the creation.
