Adriana Clivillé, from the CREAF Communication team, joins the Alter-net Management Board

Share

The Alternet Board of Directors has unanimously voted that Adriana Clivillé, from the CREAF Communication team, will join its Management Board, its highest executive body, from July 2020. The proposal implies that she takes responsibility for the communication of Alter-net, a network of centres in 18 European countries specialized in biodiversity, ecosystems and the services they provide to society. In the same vote, Juliette Young was chosen as the professional in charge of the Science-Policy Interface (SPI).

Alternet facilitates meaningful interactions and knowledge transfer between researchers and public policy makers as the European Commission, the International Group of Experts on Biological Diversity and the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Services of Ecosystems (IPBES), among others. Since 2020, Alter-net has managed EKLIPSE as part of its commitment to the European scientific-regulatory interface.

Its objective is to consolidate itself as a knowledge centre integrated in the Biodiversity Knowledge Network and as a meeting point for research of international scope in the field of natural sciences. For this reason, it integrates knowledge about biodiversity and ecosystems, aimed at professionals in charge of political decisions and society in general.

Maurice Hoffmann, researcher at the Research Institute for Nature and Forest, is the CEO of Alter-net, and the Chairman of the Board is Jiska van Dijk, researcher at the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research.
