CREAF has entered the National Support Group of the Forest Technological Platform

CREAF has officially entered at the National Support Group (NSG) of the Forest Technological Platform representing the Spanish forest technological sector.

The Responsible for international projects CREAF Olga Roig will now be the Support Group National office communication's responsible of the Forest Technology Platform (FTP). The group was created to promote research and innovation in forestry and to connect associations, companies and research centers working in the forestry sector in Spain, in addition to the Spanish public authorities.

Its aim is to define research priorities in Spain, as well as areas where public support is critical. The Spanish National Support Group will be led and chaired by Mariano Pérez, Director of AIDIMA center, a non-profit organisation leader in the Spanish wood sector with more than 400 members throughout the state.

The Forest Technology Platform was founded in 2005 and is one of the 30 platforms established as the industry-led initiative supported by the European Union. AIDIMA and CREAF additions positions them in the European forestry sector.
